Entry to a Buddhist temple complex built in the early 1900s for the brother of the Bogd Khan, now a museum of religious art in the middle of modern Ulaanbaatar.
The Choijin Lama Temple was built between 1904 and 1908 for Luvsankhaidav, the state oracle and brother of the Bogd Khan. It survived the purges of the 1930s and became a museum, and today its courtyards and halls sit among the glass towers of central Ulaanbaatar.
Inside are Buddhist sculptures, paintings and masks used in tsam ceremonial dance.
